Natalie, who is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, had years of reconstructive surgery on her face after the brutal attack, which left her physically and mentally scarred.
The 24-year-old choreographer wore bandages on her face and had visible stitches for years when she was a kid.
Natalie said cruel bullies taunted her at school, and claims she now never judges people on their appearance because of this – despite hoping to find love on a nude dating show.
The brunette beauty told her first date David: “You could be the meanest person to me, and I’ll still never talk about your flaws. Just because I know what it feels like. I’ve been bullied so much.
“I was attacked by a dog… and it made me a better person and not judge anybody by how they looked, because I got judged all the time.”
The love seeker told her story on TLC’s new dating show, where she and 31-year-old business consultant David will live completely nude on a tropical island for 12 weeks.
Each week four new lucky lads and ladies will also be flown out to exotic Bora Bora, in the French Polynesia, to date them.
Natalie is hoping to find love again after being forced to abandon the dance business she set up with her boyfriend of four years, because he cheated on her.
She told the cameras: “It broke my entire world apart. It broke my heart. On the same day I lost the love of my life and the business.
“I know who I am now and I have the opportunity to fall in love with the man of my dreams, and this beautiful island. And what better way to do it than doing it naked?
“I was able to open up really quickly to David about my scars. And I haven’t been able to do that in the past.”
While David, who is from Atlanta, Georgia, described his craziest ever date as zip lining – while canoeing naked in the same boat as a woman he had met that same day.
He’s already calling the pair Queen Natalie and King David – but will either of the pair get jealous when the new dates arrive?
Naked Dating returns to TLC this Friday, at 10pm.
