Believe it or not there are plenty of beaches all over the UK where you can still go naked on. So for all your naturalists (or otherwise) here are the five beaches in Kent where you can strip off and run free as natue intended!
Botany Bay, Margate
The “naturist” part of the beach involves a short walk to the northwest and comprises a sandy beach with a narrow strip of sand dunes backed by low chalk cliffs. Look for dunes as this is where you can drop your undies and get a full, all over sun tan.
Sandwich Bay, Sandwich
Go to the far north where the road ends and the sand dunes start. The further north the more naked people you will find as it is further away from regular beach goers.
Long Rock Beach, Swalecliffe
Although the local council doesn’t approve they cannot stop it, so ignore the signs as naturism still continues.
Shellness, Isle of Sheppey
There can be up to 100 naturists on this beach over weekends. Some parts of the beach can be quite muddy – so we assume naturists have a good knack for cleaning themselves afterwards!
Abbott’s Cliff/The Warren, Folkestone
At around a 2 mile walk from the nearest road it possibly provides the best escape from any unwanted voyeurs.
So there you go, 5 beaches in Kent where you can strip off. However if you are like this writer, I think for the best part of the year I would want a nice big warm coat to wear when walking the coastline!
