As you’d imagine, there are quite a few rules and regulations to follow when visiting a nude beach.
Check that it’s actually a nude beach
Make sure you are actually at a nudist beach before you strip off. Sure, it might seem silly, but not all nude beaches are officially nude beaches. Check before you go.
Don’t photograph people without their permission
The mere sight of a camera or a phone upright where people are around is a big no no. Avoid taking any photos – even if it’s of yourself.
Keep it clean
Perhaps a more obvious rule is to avoid getting sexual – don’t let the carefree concept of nudity fool you.
BYO towel
Be sure to bring your own towel - especially when using shared facilities like benches and seats.
Don’t wander off
In the nude, that is. Many areas at nudist beaches require clothing, including parking lots, cafes, shops, and so on. Consult any posted signs regarding clothing-required venues and follow them closely.
Cover up
With sunscreen that is. Remember to slather your birthday suit in SPF before you hit the beach.
Don’t stare
Remember to play it cool. Don’t stare, gawk, point, or giggle. Obviously, you will be required to look at your fellow nudist at some point, but play it cool.
You don’t have to nude up
Just because you’re at a nudist beach, doesn’t mean you have to totally ditch your cozzie. Stick to what feels comfortable for you. After all, having a good time is what it’s all about!
Sandy things
Without the protection of a swimsuit, you may find yourself with sand in all sorts of places. Before leaving the beach, take a show or rinse off - or else you might be in for an uncomfortable drive home.
Get Dressed Before Leaving
Make sure you’re properly dressed for the journey home before leaving the beach.
